Background

U.S. Representative for Florida's 13th district since 2023. With Reps. Burchett and Moskowitz she pushed for the 26 July 2023 House Oversight hearing, and since February 2025 she has chaired the Oversight Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, whose remit covers UAP alongside the JFK files and other topics. The Task Force held one public UAP hearing (9 September 2025) and in 2026 she has pressed the Department of War directly for AARO's video holdings, called for AARO to be defunded, then publicly backed its director. She has repeatedly said she has seen classified material she cannot explain. Unopposed for the Republican nomination, she faces Democrat Leela Gray in November 2026 (WUSF).
