Disclosure Diaries Update #110

A summary of notable Disclosure updates from Oct 12-18, 2026

Disclosure Diaries Update #110, Oct 12–18, 2026

This past week in Disclosure:

Oct 13 – Jay Stratton publishes his memoir and says the US holds "craft of nonhuman origin"

Jay Stratton, who directed the UAP Task Force and says he co-founded the DIA's AAWSAP programme, published Out of the Shadows (HarperCollins) on Oct 13 and spent the week on television. On Fox News with Bret Baier (Oct 12), asked whether the US government has non-human craft in its possession:

"Yes, it does." And asked if he has seen one: "I have seen nonhuman beings and nonhuman craft with my own eyes."

"Both the defense contractor community and the government have craft of nonhuman origin. There is an ongoing program to capture and reverse engineer this technology, and really, we're in a secret cold war race to do that." (6:01)

On whether the President has seen the evidence: "No, Bret, he's still being shielded from the truth" (9:54). Baier put it to him that AARO says it has found no evidence and that somebody is wrong: "Somebody is wrong and America is going to pay the price if the truth doesn't win in this situation. The world deserves the truth." (10:34)

To CBS News he described the programme he calls the Legacy Program: "it's made up of organizations such as CIA, the Air Force, the Department of Energy, and defense contractors. And they have been for decades retrieving and reverse engineering craft of non-human origin." To Jesse Watters (Oct 15): "It's like the Manhattan Project on steroids." To CNN's Jake Tapper (Oct 14), on an experience at his home: "It was like the door to my home was the blockade to two different realms."

What accompanies the claims: no document, image or named corroborating witness. The government's position is unchanged. AARO's July annual report states that "To date, no evidence suggests that a USG or private entity has ever captured or exploited UAP-derived materials." Sean Kirkpatrick, AARO's founding director, whom the book accuses of being compromised by the programme, told PARADIGM: "That's the most absurd thing I've heard today." and "There is no legacy program." Avi Loeb, who chairs the UAP Science Advisory Council, wrote that his invitation to Stratton to brief the council went unanswered.

Oct 15 – Trump, asked if he's the president who does disclosure: "I'm looking"

In a White House interview with Newsmax's Rob Finnerty, President Trump was asked whether aliens are real, whether the US is reverse-engineering their technology, and whether he'll be the one to say so. Coverage.

"Well, let me just tell you, it's very interesting. I wasn't much of a believer." … "I do know we see some pretty strange things." – President Donald Trump

He repeated the pilot's account he has told before, of "a round object, which is not an ideal shape for going fast, that went faster by four times than an F-22", and to the direct question: "I'm looking." Then: "Again, I'm not high on the list of that particular subject." No timetable, and no answer on whether anything has been visited or recovered. His February directive remains the only public presidential document on the subject.

Oct 15 – Burlison describes an ODNI briefing on dozens of orbs at a western installation, with federal personnel in a helicopter "within 10 ft"

Rep. Eric Burlison (R-MO) told the Dr. Phil Podcast that the Office of the Director of National Intelligence briefed him twice in the fall of 2025, the second time at its own request.

"they called me back into the same office and gave me an entirely different briefing because they said, 'Sir, things have changed. We really need to bring you in and update you.'" – Rep. Eric Burlison (R-MO)

The event, as he describes it, took place in late 2025: "members of ODNI, you had members of the CIA, FBI, and and the Department of War intelligence that were all on site at Western Military installation and and they saw for themselves these these glowing orbs" (16:31), which "would go from zero to instantaneous speed" and at times split in two. Personnel "were in a helicopter flying towards them and and getting basically within 10 ft of these orbs" (21:19). Asked if 50 showed up: "Yes." He says he can discuss it because the records were in the first PURSUE tranches, including an FBI interview form. He told the New York Post on Oct 10 he would explore whether the witnesses, one of them a career ODNI official, could testify publicly.

What isn't established: which installation, which PURSUE files describe it, and whether any sensor data exists beyond the witnesses' accounts. AARO's June memo on a "Western United States Event" concerns an October 2023 case, a different date from the one Burlison gives.

Oct 15 – A former Army sniper relays a second-hand account of "reptilian beings" near Area 51

Liberation Times reported that Nick Betts, a former US Army sniper, said on a podcast in December that an unnamed man told him in a hotel room in Poland about an operation in an underground facility in which US personnel killed reptilian beings. Betts didn't witness it, the man isn't named, and no document or official response exists. It echoes what David Grusch told Joe Rogan on Sep 30, also relayed from unnamed contacts. Two second-hand accounts don't make a first-hand one.

Oct 16 – Loeb: bird candidates in about 8% of the PURSUE sensor videos

Avi Loeb wrote that the Science Advisory Council's analysis of the infrared videos in all six PURSUE releases, looking for the periodic brightness change of a flapping wing, found "10 PURSUE videos containing a total of 25 bird candidates." Others, he says, "probably show birds but are too faint and grainy to capture a reliable beat frequency." It's a Medium post, not a paper, and the first quantitative output from the council's review.

Oct 10–13 – Israel scrambles jets for an unidentified object over the Western Galilee

Israeli air defences detected an object near the Lebanese border on the evening of Oct 10, scrambled fighters and searched the ground for days. On Oct 13 Israel Hayom reported the military's preliminary assessment that it was most likely a balloon. Coverage.

Oct 17 – Mario Woods dies

Mario Woods, the Air Force security policeman whose account of a 1977 encounter at a missile site near Ellsworth AFB was one of the better-known modern witness cases, died aged about 72, according to Jon LeSage.

Things to look out for in the near future:

Late October

  • PURSUE release 7. None as of Oct 18; the six so far landed on Fridays, two to six weeks apart. war.gov/ufo
  • Germany's answer to the Bundestag UAP question (an AfD Kleine Anfrage of Oct 2), not yet published. Drucksache 21/8323

Nov 3 and after

  • Midterms: whether House Democrats, if they win, keep the Secrets Task Force or stand up a UAP committee, Comer's lame-duck hearing, and whether Burlison invites the orb-event witnesses to testify. Ask a Pol, IBTimes
  • A lame-duck Senate NDAA process and conference: does the House's UAP Disclosure Act survive against a Senate bill with no UAP text? CRS

By year-end

  • Loeb's deadline for ODNI to deliver sensor data to the Science Advisory Council. The council has started publishing its own analysis of the released videos in the meantime. Politico, Medium
  • AARO's FY2026 annual report, and the Sec. 1671 intercept briefing covering 2004 onward. Pub. L. 119-60

Beyond / unknown

  • Whether the late-2025 orb event Burlison describes is identified in the PURSUE files, and whether its witnesses appear before Congress. Dr. Phil Podcast
  • The Virginia-coast case of "approximately 100 airborne UAP" that AARO says it is actively investigating. AARO FY2025 report
  • MITRE's response to Burlison's May interrogatories on legacy-programme records. Burlison
